Xilisoft is friendly but I need a video recorder to capture the video stream I suscribed. I look forward to that kind of product you may sooner or later offer by any chance.

Opinion I downloaded lots of MP3 recorders, to find the best. Xilisoft made a lot of internet-access at start-up, that I blocked with the firewall. Then Xilisoft went into idle and didn't start up.

didn`t work for me! I wanted to create sine waves easily, but I couldn't figure it out so I uninstalled it. Might be a good software for other applications.Thank you, Stef

didn`t work The trial version is supposed to capture 40 seconds of sound, and it appeared to be recording, showing me the separate sound files generated. However, when I looked in the directory it specified, no sound files existed. I did a search for all files recently created, and still nothing. Linen Sound Recorder simply had not done anything. Disappointing because I have been looking for a product with the features it offers, and would have purchased it had I been pleased with the playback quality.

Exceptional Value Program is extremely easy to use. It is exceptionally intuitive and does everything (easily) it says it will do. An exceptional value!

Didn`t work Every time I tried to use this app, I went to record and it gave me a message about no wave devices being able to record the current format, and to try again later (I'm paraphrasing.) I looked through my control panel, and the only settings under the sound card that had format choices had the same format listed.The error message was never mentioned in the help file, so no idea what exactly it means.The machine is brand new, running Vista, and no other programs like media player or such were running, so if it can't work on ...

When someone is looking for good Quality Nature Sounds Software, they Don't always want Restrictions on it..I Un-installed it, without trying the program out...Wasn't worth the Effort, just to have it Stop Working after 21 days..Just long enough to get Attached to it...A VERY Good Quality program is Atmosphere Lite..A Nature Sounds program that is Freeware.. The company who makes it, offers 2 other versions of the same software, a Deluxe & a Premium price ...

Great program! I have tried many recorders, free and not free. This one works with my Gigabit motherboard with Realtek HD Audio program. If you tried all rhe others finally choose the best. Audio-Sound Recorder rocks!

I found RecordPad to be extremely useful! Just wanted to take quick notes, but, like the brilliant Evernote, sometimes a simple piece of software does it best. Thanks!

RecordPad is a very good little tool, but since I was trying to save an audio streaming youtube, it was unable to capture the audio information as the youtube file played. Other than that, RecordPad is perfect for all other audio-capturing applications. I probably didn't do enough research about what RecordPad offered when I selected it, or otherwise didn't understand that it couldn't collect streaming audio. My bad.Or, perhaps your literature can better reflect this? Or perhaps you'll consider allowing streaming audio capture in a different RecordPad? Does what it says on the tin Where GarageBand falls down (as with all Apple Software) is that it isn't very good at exporting to standard file formats, so you cannot record and save something in MP3 or WAV format. It is therefore useless for recording vocals or a live mix. RecordPad Sound Recorder for Mac is the perfect cheap replacement for this - nice visual level metering, simple controls, the facility to automatically email the file, mirror to a disk/server and good quality options for MP3 and WAV file recording. great, simple sound recorded While I am a professional sound guy, my Dad isn't. He needed a simple, easy to use Mac OS X voice recorder, and this is just about perfect. Only complaint is that the playlist window does not remember it's position from one launch to the next.

Missing a key feature My use requires an app to run in the background and do the following:(1) based on non-silence encountered, create new audio file and record.(2) based on silence for a user-defined duration, close opened audio file

Not for me The program does not differentiate what is coming through the sound card and what the computer mike picks up -- the program lays down both in the audio tracks. Not helpful to have room noises in a recording.
